Après plus de 15 années d’expérience en gestion de projets en technologies de l'information (TI) dans le milieu de la santé publique, Dragos Vieru a joint le corps professoral de la TÉLUQ en 2011. Professeur titulaire en technologies de l’information (TI), il s’intéresse aux domaines de recherche de l'impact des nouvelles technologies sur le changement organisationnel et l'innovation, de la gestion des systèmes d'information inter-organisationnels ainsi qu’au sourçage mondial des services TI.

Professeur Vieru a occupé entre 2015 et 2018 la fonction de Directeur de l'École des sciences de l'administration. Il est chercheur régulier au Groupe de recherche en systèmes d'information (GReSI - HEC Montréal). Il a été professeur invité dans plusieurs universités, dont l'Université de Münster (Allemagne), l'Université Polytechnique et Économique de Budapest (Hongrie), l’Académie d'Études Économiques (Roumanie) et l'Université Corvinus de Budapest (Hongrie).

Il a publié plus de 50 articles dans des revues scientifiques et professionnelles, notamment dans l'International Journal of Information Management, Information Systems Management, Journal of Knowledge Management, IEEE IT Professional et dans des actes de colloque de conférences prestigieuses telles qu’ICIS, HICSS, AMCIS, ou ASAC. Dragos agit comme organisateur de la section (minitrack) Socio-Technical Issues in Organizational Information Technologies à la conférence Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences (HICSS).
