Charles Gouin-Vallerand (charles.gouin-vallerand@teluq.ca) hold a joint Ph.D. from Université de Sherbrooke (Canada) and Université Pierre et Marie Curie (Paris VI) (France) and was member of the DOMUS Laboratory of the Université de Sherbrooke and Handicom Lab of Telecom SudParis. After his doctoral studies, he joined the Human Computer Interaction Institute of Carnegie Mellon University (USA) as a postdoctoral research fellow. He is currently associated professor at the Science & Technology of the TELUQ University and he is the head of the Laboratory on Mobile Computing and Smart Cities (LIMVI)

His research interests are on the ubiquitous computing, mobile computing and human-computer interaction. More specifically, he works on the context-aware computing (context-aware application), services & assistances provision and smart spaces/smart cities.
