Meet Université TÉLUQ Canada Research Chairs

Quebec City, April 24 2018 - Université TÉLUQ is proud to present these three short online videos highlighting the research work of TÉLUQ professors and Canada Research Chairs, Dr. Neila Mezghani, Dr. Lonzozou Kpanake and Dr. Normand Landry.

"These researchers are working at the heart of our university as well as in the public eye," said Caroline Brassard, Director of Education and Research at Université TÉLUQ. "Shining the spotlight on their work with these videos is a matter of pride for us, and it's also a way to spread the word and start a conversation about some sensitive community issues. Canada Research Chair in Biomedical Data-Mining

Headed by Department of Science and Technology Professor Dr. Neila Mezghani, this Canada Research Chair is pioneering research into the fields of evolutionary biomedical data-mining and data fusion for decision-making, as well as exploring practical health applications.

Canada Research Chair in Media Literacy and Human Rights

The work of Canada Research Chair in Media Literacy and Human Rights, Dr. Normand Landry and his research team in the Department of Human Sciences, Literature and Communications highlights media literacy in Canada, guiding practices and developing tools for learning. The Chair's work focuses on highly topical issues such as privacy infringement, media violence, bullying, sex in the media and the quality and truth of the information out there.

Canada Research Chair in Ethical Judgment

Canada Research Chair in Ethical Judgment, Dr. Lonzozou Kpanake and his research team in the Department of Human Sciences, Literature and Communications examine the mental process that guides our ethical judgment in the real-life situations doctors and patients are confronted with every day. Their work revolves around public and international health, and more specifically end of life care, organ donation, the allocation of rare medical resources, and preventive measures for controlling epidemics.
